| Los Angeles Crimes |
Los Angeles is a living breathing city. Constantly changing, constantly evolving. The streets of LA speak to us. From Large artistic murals, to scrawled tagging, the Graffiti is the story of the city. As Simon and Garfunkel once sang "The Words of the Prophets are Written on the Subway Walls..." The picture above was taken just north of La Brea and Melrose in Hollywood.

Sometimes the Graffiti is positive. A simple word or phrase that lifts the spirit, and wondrous artistic mural, a though provoking stencil. Sometimes the Graffiti is a message. A message to a person, a gang of people, or everyone.
Some graffiti lasts for years, some is covered within days. That is why I decided to create this blog. To preserve the message, whatever it may be. I will admit, that territory tagging won't be as prevalent on here as some of the other graffiti, but it will show up from time to time.
A couple of years ago, I bought a used U-haul truck. I was still working as a motion picture Gaffer and had amassed a bit of equipment. I figured having my own lighting truck would be useful. Below is a picture of the truck the day I bought it, and then the next day.

I paid for secured parking after that one night on the street, and I never had any more graffiti. I gave up the truck after about a year. I though having my own gear truck would jumpstart my floundering career, but it didn't. I wonder how the new owners are doing with the graffiti. Below is a picture of a truck much like mine. I am sure this isn't going to be a thorough collection of Los Angeles Graffiti, but it will give some insight. Maybe one day, the stories told by these spray-can prophets will be appreciated.
